Pacts & Work

What is a pact?

Understand how an accepted offer becomes the shared record for active work.

The accepted work agreement

A pact is the WorkPact record created when talent accepts a company’s offer. It preserves the accepted scope, USD rate or fixed price, schedule, working limits, and enabled capabilities so both sides can refer to the same terms.

A pact records terms and progress; it is not a payment account and does not prove that compensation was paid.

Hourly and fixed-price work

Hourly pacts can support tracked time and permitted manual entries. Fixed-price pacts can include ordered milestones whose amounts total the agreed fixed price. Milestone approval records delivery progress, not payment.

Pact lifecycle

A company can pause an active pact, resume a paused pact, or permanently close an active or paused pact. Paused work becomes read-only in the tracker. Closed pacts remain in history, and the closure workflow opens reciprocal feedback.

Payment terms can be revised while a pact is open, but a proposed change waits for talent acceptance before it becomes current.
