Payments on WorkPact

Understand the difference between marketplace tokens, work records, and compensation.

Last updated:

Compensation happens outside WorkPact

WorkPact currently records agreed compensation terms, tracked work, milestones, and review outcomes. It does not move, hold, release, or confirm compensation between a company and talent.

Both parties are responsible for choosing a lawful payment method, agreeing on timing, completing payment outside WorkPact, and keeping any records they need.

Tokens are not compensation

Marketplace tokens pay for WorkPact actions. Companies currently spend 10 company tokens to publish a job, and approved talent spends 10 talent tokens to submit an engagement. Tokens cannot pay talent for completed work.

Token checkout is currently a demo and does not collect real payment. Learn about company publishing eligibility and tokens before posting a role.

What approvals mean

An approved time entry or milestone records a WorkPact review outcome. It should not be presented as proof that compensation was sent or received. Read Track and review work for the approval workflow.
